Application Security Engineer (Remote)

My client are a global start up who are seeking an application security engineer to be based remotely in Europe. The main focus of the role is to ensure their applications and services are implemented with high standards and are secure.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct security assessments and develop / deploy security tools based on findings
• Investigate and detect security incidents
• Collaborate with the wider technology teams to ensure the secure design of new services
• Carry out security research to 'think like the attacker' in order to prevent future incidents
• Secure code review

Skills:

• 2+ years of security experience preferably as an application security engineer
• Strong coding knowledge e.g. Python, Java, React
• Offensive security expertise
• Experience with incident response and detection
• Understanding of agile and scrum methodologies
• English language fluency
